How long have you been lashing? Where did you receive your certification/training?
2 years. Certification through Elan lash
What made you decide to be a lash artist?
I wasn’t working in the beauty industry upon esthetics school graduation. I ended up waiting a few months and a job landed in my lap as a lash artist at a local salon. I fell in love with the attention to detail and constant room for growth and creativity. I’ve never looked back and can’t imagine doing anything else!
What is your favorite thing about being a Lash Artist?
Giving my clients confidence in themselves and their natural beauty. Lashes just enhance how beautiful they really are!!
Have you taken any continuing education or advanced classes in lash artistry? If so, when and what?
I’ve taken a mega volume/ advanced artistry course on April 10 through S.H.E salon in Rochester. I’ve also taken a lash lift course through the same salon in December.
How long have you been using Lash Tavern products?
Since the beginning! My first product used was the classic lashes and I’ve never switched.
What is your favorite Lash Tavern product and why?
Multi length lashes! I love doing the wet look with them and adding texture into regular classic sets!
What are your hobbies outside of lashing?
I’m a yoga teacher so I love to do yoga especially outside. I’m also a cat momma of 2 and a crazy plant lady.
What is the hardest lesson you have had to learn while lashing?
It’s okay to have a bad day. It’s also okay to feel slower some days, have trouble making fans some days or even have some not so nice clients some days. Taking a deep breath and remembering where you started and where I’m going is something that motivates me even through my hardest days.
Do you have any advice for new lash artists?
BE AUTHENTIC! Clients gravitate towards good energy and they will stay with you no matter what.
Is there anything you’d like to tell us about yourself that we haven’t asked about?
My biggest lash fantasy is opening up double doors to my covered outdoor patio on the water as I lash clients under the sun, listening to the birds and waves crashing. Keeping this happy place in my mind reminds me that I can do anything I put my mind to. Manifesting the life of my dreams one day at a time.
