It’s Friday so you know what that means… Spotlight Time! Today we will be spotlighting one of our very own ambassadors, Dacie Bispo!
Name: Dacie Bispo
Instagram Handle/Website: @elev8artistry
Location: Glendale / Gilbert
Name of Salon/Studio: House / Glam studios
How long have you been lashing? Where did you receive your certification/training?
6 years. Clary Sage college
What made you decide to be a lash artist?
Lashing came very natural to me. I enjoyed offering the service more than facials. Girlfriends asked me to practice on them too
What is your favorite thing about being a Lash Artist?
Setting my own schedule and working for myself . It’s given me the independence and flexibility in my life that I’ll be forever thankful for.
Have you taken any continuing education or advanced classes in lash artistry? If so, when and what?
Lash Affair Volume course
Wink Volume course
Asia Kay Volume course
Lash Anarchic Mega Volume
Lash exchange Ethic eye course
Raw Esthetics mega volume course
Lash Makers Volume course
Million Lashes Pro Russian volume course
Luxuncut Volume course/ Design course
LashTycoon editing course
How long have you been using Lash Tavern products?
5 years
What is your favorite Lash Tavern product and why?
Hands down the ellipses. They took my sets at the beginning of lashing from basic to bold. I love the look, the shine, and the depth of these beauties.
What are your hobbies outside of lashing?
Trying new restaurants, traveling, day drinking, brunches, shopping, hanging with my puppies, seeing family, relaxing by water, crafts, and the funeral service.
What is the hardest lesson you have had to learn while lashing?
Don’t compare your work to others on Instagram . Don’t feel bad reaching out to a trainer you’ve just spend thousands of dollars teaching you for questions. There’s enough clients to go around.
Do you have any advice for new lash artists?
Practice. Take classes. Save your money. Invest in your business. Refer and reach out to other lash artists. Build a community. Respect your clients time, and make sure they respect yours. Be nice but not nice enough to be walked on. Set boundaries. Take care of your body. Take a day off. Take no shit. And never stop having fun. You’ll loose your passion and get burnt out if you do.
Is there anything you’d like to tell us about yourself that we haven’t asked about?
I am currently a full time mortuary student and I plan to always lash, but I first started this beauty journey to implicate it to the dead. I hope to have my own embalming business and only lash as a hobby.
Thank you Dacie for all you do and for being one of our ambassors!
