Happy Friday! This weeks spotlight goes to Jacquie Morning from Wayland, Massachusetts. She has been lashing for over 3 years and has used Lash Tavern for the last year. How long have you been lashing? Where did you receive your certification/training?
About a year and a half ( it’ll be 2 years summer of 2019). I was certified with Lash Lamour in Boston.
What made you decide to be a lash artist?
I love everything esthetics! And when getting into it, I promised myself to not leave any stone unturned! Lashing was my next step in my career path and I am so so happy I did!!
What is your favorite thing about being a Lash Artist?
The freedom to express my artistic side, and making my clients happy (:
Have you taken any continuing education or advanced classes in lash artistry? If so, when and what?
I have not been able to. The pandemic certainly had pushed me back a bit, but hopefully soon I’ll be able to take another class!
How long have you been using Lash Tavern products?
About a year!
What is your favorite Lash Tavern product and why?
Pre-made fans!!! Have saved my life! I suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, so the pre-mades really help me when I’m having a bad day.
What are your hobbies outside of lashing?
I love the great outdoors so anything involving connecting my soul to nature, and margaritas 😉
What is the hardest lesson you have had to learn while lashing?
Patience… practice makes perfect and I cannot stress that enough. I’ve had times where I want to throw down my tweezers in frustration, but holding on and not giving up on yourself is KEY
Do you have any advice for new lash artists?
Practice and never give up on yourself!!
Is there anything you’d like to tell us about yourself that we haven’t asked about?
I have come along way from when I first started… and still have a long way to go and so much more to learn.
